EXTRAS everywhere - it's hard to know where to start. But as you drive into the driveway it's obvious they did not skimp on surfacing the drive, allowing enough room for guests to turn around and drive out front-facing into the street. A sweet gazebo-type entry leads to the walk to the front door - very appealing and welcoming. The steps and front porch are a maintenance-free 'Trex-like' product. All the fencing, which rings the entire yard, is maintenance-free vinyl, and a perfect setup for keeping dogs at home or encouraging children to stay within boundaries.
Upon entering the home one steps into the living area which is open and has volume ceilings for a good feeling of space. Off the dining area note the sliders (with enclosed blinds - what a treat - no cleaning required!) that lead to a deck in back. The kitchen is open and spacious allowing the cook plenty of food-prep counter space. There's also an eating counter for the quick meals or cup of coffee. Tucked away is an area that has additional cabinetry, freezer space, and the laundry area with a drop-down ironing board, and a half bath. Note the clever little doors that open to containers in the garage for re-cyclables!
On the first floor are three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The master is a spacious 16' X 16' room with 2 closets, one of which is a walk-in. The other 2 bedrooms also have good-sized closets, and all rooms are painted in pleasing neutral colors.
The home-owner has constantly been improving upon this home. Besides fencing the yard in 2001, the new roof in May 2002, the extra garage built in 2003, and the basement finish, the owner upgraded the electric service from 150 amp to 200 amp in 2003, put in new kitchen flooring in 2003, moved the laundry to the first floor in 2005, added a storm door on the front in 2005, and a new sump pump in 2006. The home is also pre-wired for an alarm system, and most of the needed parts are in the house already ready for completion (including pictures of where the wires are in the walls).
All this plus a very desireable location within the neighborhood as well as a very convenient location for getting into Ann Arbor for work or fun, or to Metro Airport, or into Detroit.
